Swami Vivekananda referred to feeding and serving the poor as Narayana Seva. While travelling he had confronted the poverty and deprivation of his countrymen. At the end of his journey he vowed to serve humanity and concluded that , “The only God that exists, the only God in whom we believe, my God the miserable, my God the poor of all races.” Every year the poor are served in various ways.
